On Tuesday 14th November King Charles III was celebrating his 75th birthday. The book about his life The Leadership and Vision of a Modern Monarch was lunched that Tuesday in the most prestigious hotel in London Claridge’s in front of 200 invited guest among whom was also our Principal Dr. Sci. Martin-Tino Časl with his wife Zdenka Časl. Author is Robert Robson who has been a keen observer of the Royal Family and the history, tradition and changing persona of British royalty for more than 30 years. A royal editor and correspondent for major media outlets around the world, he has extensive first-hand experience of royal life – both in the glare of public scrutiny and behind the scenes – having toured with the royals on countless occasions. Arthur Edwards, whose photography features within pages of book, is a legend of royal reporting. From the mid-‘70s onwards, wherever the senior royals have traveled, Arthur and his camera have accompanied them, documented over 200 royal tours to more than 120 countries. The book also includes a wider societal narrative, highlighting stories of success and progress during His Majesty’s lifetime in social, technological and commercial spheres. The book presents a celebration of Charles’s life and achievements in the year of his Coronation and 75th birthday, and looks forward to how he intends to shape the future of the monarchy over the years to come. The book has 6 chapters: The young prince; Family life; The new king; The global leader; An environmental pioneer; A vision of modern Britain. In the last chapter there are several British schools presented including British International School of Zagreb. We are very honored that our school is included in this magnificent monograph. It was presented by authors and Craig Vye from St James's House.
In a very spontaneous environment, the three of them told numerous anecdotes about Charles's life from his school days to the present day. They were joined by Kevin Gant - The Mirror Photographer and Ken Wharfe - Former personal protection officer to the Princess of Wales, Prince William and Prince Henry.
Our Principal spent a pleasant afternoon talking to old acquaintances from previous promotions at Westminster Abbey, two and four years ago.
The pictures show part of the atmosphere from that event.
The official launch of 300 Years of Leadership and Innovation was a truly memorable occasion, with more than 700 guests from all over the world, including MPs and members of the media, gathering in the historic setting of Westminster Abbey's Cloisters to attend the presentation of this prestigious publication.
Launched to coincide with the 300th anniversary of the appointment of Britain's first prime minister, Robert Walpole, in 1721, and in the year of Her Majesty The Queen's 95th birthday, the book celebrates leadership across the full spectrum of British society: from Parliament and Crown to captains of industry and those pushing the boundaries of innovation.
The book was presented by the editors Gordon Marsden, MP, the History of Parliament Trust's chairman, Royal correspondent Robert Jobson and Stephen van der Merwe from St. James House.
Celebrating the best of British leadership, 300 Years of Leadership and Innovation features expertly written articles on those who have shaped British society, past and present: from Walpole to Cromwell, Churcill to Blair, The Queen and Prince Charles to captains of industry and innovation.
Among other captains of industry and innovation there is a page in chapter Education and Creative Minds dedicated to our founder and Principal dr. sc. Martin-Tino Časl and his family, supporting wife Zdenka Časl and his son Tino Sven Časl. His educational philosophy is presented under the title Croatian theory.
After previous articles about dr. sc. Martin-Tino Časl's work and achivements in education, science and sport
in Innovation 800 (monography celebrating 800th anniversary of Cambridge University) and also in The Commonwealth at 70: From Westminster to the World (celebrating 70th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Nations) it is another compliment to our founder and Principal dr. Časl and our school.
The British International School of Zagreb is the only school out of UK that is presented in this prestigious publication.
